Suhaag

Suhaag was highest grosser in Bollywood for 1979. Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor were appeared in the lead roles. This movie story revolves around a family reuniting.

Vikram (Amjad Khan) a gangster marries Durga (Nirup Roy). Durga gives birth to twins Kishan and Amit, but Vikram’s rival Jaggi (Kadher Khan) steals one among them.Durga lives with another child and Vikram lives seperately. Years later Kishan (Shahsi Kapoor) who brougt up by Durga becomes a police officer. Amita (Amitabh Bachchan)  who brought up by Jaggi becomes a goon.

Amit and Kishan becomes very close friends. Vikram offers large amount of money to Amit for killing Kishan. But Amit informs this to Kishan, both of them attacks on Vikram. But in that attack, Kishan losses his eye sight. Later Vikram notices the true identity of Amit and Kishan. He realises his mistakes and sacrifices his eyes for Kishan.

Rekha and Parveen Babi played female leads in this movie.

Kasme Vaade

Kasme Vaade was 1978 Bollywood movies starring Amitabh Bachchan in dual roles. Randhir Kapoor , Rakhee Gulzar and Neetu Singh were played  the other lead roles.

Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) a professor has an younger brother Raju (Randhir Kapoor) who is an unemployed. Amit falls in love with Suman (Rakhee Gulzar).

Because of bad companies, Raju gets a bit spoiled and involves in some street fights. When he is in trouble, Amit tries to protect him and dies in that fight.

Shankar who looks like Amit enters into Suman and Raju’s lives. Raju feels that, he got his brother back. But what he don’t know is Shankar is a most wanted criminal. How Raju and Suman responds after noticing Shankar’s past and they allows him to be with them or not ? is the remaining story.

It was one of the biggest hits of that year. It was remakes of this movie into Telugu with Shobhan Babu and in Tamil with Rajnikanth were also bagged good success.

Mr.Natwarlal

Mr.Natwarlal was Amitabh Bachchan’s movie in 1979. He has acted as an angry young man. Rajesh Kumar was the director for this Robin Hood formula action movie. This movie marked Amitabh Bachchan’s debut as playback singer.

Giridharlal (Ajit) is a honest cop lives happy life with his wife Seema (Indrani Mukherjee) and younger Natwar. While he handling a notorious criminal Vikram (Amjad Khan)’s case, Vikram traps him. This leads Giridharlal to loss his job and court sentences him into a prison for 4 years. Natwar losses belief on justice and law with this situation.

Natwar (Amitabh Bachchan) grows and becomes a smuggler. He robs rich people and gives to poor people. On the other hand he spends his time and money to find Vikram. Finally he notices Vikram in a hilly area of North India. How he takes revenge on Vikram is the remaining story.

Rajesh Roshan’s music was chart buster in that year.Rekha paired opposite Big B in this movie.

Avtaar

Avtaar is an out and out family drama. Mohan Kumar has directed this movie. Rajesh Khanna and Shabana Ajmee were played the lead roles. Gulshan Grover,Shashi Puri were appeared as the sons of Rajesh Khanna and Shabana Ajmee. Sachin has played an important role.

Story revolves around a poor family of Avtaar Krishen (Rajesh Khanna). Avtaar has a wife Radha (Shabana Ajmi) and two sons Ramesh (Shashi Puri) and Chandan (Gulshan Groover). Avtaar does lot of hard work for his children education.

Ramesh settles down and marries Sudha. Sudha and Ramesh never care about Radha and Avtaar. Finally Ramesh forces his poor parents to leave the home. Avtaar and Radha leaves the home by keeping the hopes on Chandan. But he marries a rich girl and neglects his parents.

In this movement how Avtaar and Radha survived and what is the decision Avtaar took is the rest of story.

Agneepath To Strikes The Screens Again

Agneepath was a block buster movie starring Amitabh Bachchan and Madhavi in the lead roles. Yash Johar has produced this action thriller. Yash Johar‘s son Karan Johar is now planning to remake this movie.

He is planning to cast either Abhishek Bachchan or Hrithik Roshan in the lead role for this movie. If every thing goes well, the movie hits the sets by the end of this year. Karan Johar is planning to make this movie with high budget and high technical values.

He hasn’t revealed more details yet about this movie.

Lamhe

Lamhe was Bollywood movie directde by Yash Chopra in 1991. It bagged five Filmfare awards but failed to impress audience.  Sri Devi has appeared in the double role and Anil Kapoor paired opposite her.

Viren (Anil Kapoor) on his first look falls to a beautiful girl called Pallaavi (Sri Devi) in Rajastan. After her father death, Viren comes to know her love on Siddharth (Deepak Malhotra). Heart broken Viren leaves India and settles in London. After 20 years he visits India. In that trip he comes to know that, Pallavi and Siddharth were died in a road accident.

He shocks to watch Pallavi’s daughter Pooja (Sri Devi), because Pooja looks like Pallavi. He returns back to London, Pooja follows him. Viren agrees to marry Anita (Dippy Sagoo). But Pooja is already in love with Viren. With this news she upsets and goes back to India. Viren realises himself that, he is also in love with Pooja and flies to India to marry her.

Honey Irani has written this touching story, she has also penned some feel good dialogues.

Namak Haraam

Namak Haraam was Bollywood movie in 1973 starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna in lead roles. Hrishikesh Mukherjee has directed this movie. It was second movie from Hrishikesh Mukerjee, Amitabh and Rajesh Khanna combo.

First film in this combination was Anand, which is one of the classic film in Bollywood history. Namak Haraam focuses on friend ship between a poor worker and a rich business man.

Gulzar penned this story. Rahul Dev Burman has composed the music. Rekha was female lead. Amitabh Bachchan won Filmfare award for this movie in Best Actor Category.

Kabhi Kabhie

Kabhi Kabhie was a movie from Yash Chopra in 1976. Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor were played the lead roles. It was a clean family drama. Music was composed by Khayyam.

Pooja (Rakhee Gulzar) and Amit Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan) are lovers in their college days. But Pooja marries Vijay Khanna (Shashi Kapoor) as per her parents wish. Amit later marries Anjali (Waheeda Rahman). Anjali was a widow before marrying Amit and also has a daughter Pinky. But she never reveals this to others. Pinky is adopted to a childless couple.

Young Pinky (Neetu Singh) falls in love with Vicky (Rishi Kapoor). Vicky is none other than, only son of Pooja and Vijay Khanna. Pinky comes to know about her mother. She tries to meet her and be with her, but Anjali rejects her. How she met her mother and how Vicky married Pinky is the remaining story.

Dostana (1980)

Dostana (1980) one of the biggest hit for that year. Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha were played the lead roles. Karan Johar‘s father Yash Johar produced this movie under his Dharma Productions banner.

Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) and Ravi ( Shatrughan Sinha) are best friends. Vijay is police officer and Ravi is a lawyer. They never questions each other if any one of them does a mistake.

Both of them meets a girl Sheetal ( Zeenat Aman ). Both friends falls for her charming beauty. When Vijay notices that, Ravi also has interest about Sheetal, he sacrifices his love. Daaga (Prem Chopra) who is trying to separate this friends, utilises this chances.

He shows Vijay and Sheetal’s photo to Ravi. It makes Ravi anger and he argues with Vijay.

Remaining story about how this friends reunited and who married Sheetal. Raj Khosla has directed this movie.

Namak Halaal

Namak Halaal was a Amitabh Bachchan’s comedy movie directed by Prakash Mehra. Smita Patil paired opposite Big B. Amitabh raised laughs with different body language and different dialogue delivery. The story is simple, but entertainment part made the movie a super hit.

Arjun (Amitabh Bachchan) goes to Mumbai from his village, to get a job and start new life, according his grand father (Om prakash)’s wish. He attempts an interview to get job in a five star hotel which belongs to Raja (Shashi Kapoor). He gets a job there and meets Poonam (Smita Patil) and falls in love with her.

A goon Giridar Singh (Satyendra Kapoor) and his son Ranjeet (Ranjeet) starts attacking on Raja. Arjun protects him every time. Arjun also finds that, Raja’s mother is originally his mother.

Amitabh Bachchan‘s performance is highlight for the movie.
