Kasme Vaade

Kasme Vaade was 1978 Bollywood movies starring Amitabh Bachchan in dual roles. Randhir Kapoor , Rakhee Gulzar and Neetu Singh were played  the other lead roles.


Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) a professor has an younger brother Raju (Randhir Kapoor) who is an unemployed. Amit falls in love with Suman (Rakhee Gulzar).

Because of bad companies, Raju gets a bit spoiled and involves in some street fights. When he is in trouble, Amit tries to protect him and dies in that fight.

Shankar who looks like Amit enters into Suman and Raju’s lives. Raju feels that, he got his brother back. But what he don’t know is Shankar is a most wanted criminal. How Raju and Suman responds after noticing Shankar’s past and they allows him to be with them or not ? is the remaining story.


It was one of the biggest hits of that year. It was remakes of this movie into Telugu with Shobhan Babu and in Tamil with Rajnikanth were also bagged good success.

Don : The Great

268997209_57fe199448Don is a Bollywood movie in 1978. Amitabh Bachchan starred in a dual role in this movie. When the writers Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan penned this story no one expected that the same story would become a subject for 8 movies. After watching the super success of Don, N.T.R was interested to remake this movie in Telugu with the name Yugandhar.


His plan worked and it became a block buster in Telugu also. Rajnikanth has acted in Tamil version. Tamil version was released with the name Billa. It has taken Rajnikanth’s fame high sky in Tamilnadu.  Sobhraj is the Malayalam version which featured Mohanlal in the lead role.


28 years later Javed Aktar’s son Farhan Akhtar directed  Don again in Hindi with Shah Rukh Khan. This time also it was a hit. Recently in Telugu and Tamil remake versions were released. Tamil movie featured Ajit in lead role. And Telugu version featured Prabhas in lead role. The last one is the only failure for this story.


This story became a subject for Hollywood producers also.
