Seeta Aur Geeta

Seeta Aur Geeta was one of the best movie in Hema Malini’s career. She has appeared in dual roles in that movie. Salim and Javed penned this story, RameshSippy was director.


Seeta (Hema Malini) and Geeta (Hema Malini) are identical twins. Seeta brought up in a rich family, faces lots of troubles from her aunt (Manorama) ,uncle and their children. On the other hand Geeta was brought by poor family in a small village.


When Seeta feels irritated with her life, she escapes from house. While she is trying to commit for suicide, villagers protects her and mistakes her as Geeta and sends to Geeta’s house. Geeta who went to town was caught by Seeta’s uncle.

But Seeta escapes from them and reaches house and surprises to watch Geeta there. Geeta goes to Seeta’s house and teaches a lesson to all the people there and protects the properties.


Sanjeev Kumar and Darmendra were paired opposite Hema Malini in this movie.

Anokhi Raat is a Bollywood movie directed by Asit Sen. Movie bagged four Film Fare awards. Hrishikesh Mukherjee won Film Fare as writer. Sanjeev Kumar, Aruna Irani , Keshto Mukherjee and Parikshat Sahni were played the lead roles.

Its a story about the different events happens in the single night. Lead characters discusses about the different problems in the society, which have been continuing from many years. Most of them targeted on women and poor people only.

Hrithik Roshan
‘s grand father Roshan has composed music to this movie along with another music director Salila Chaudhary. At that time without any technology and proper camera works only director gave the required look.

Hero (1983)

Hero (1983) was Subhash Ghai‘s movie starring Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Seshadri in lead roles. This movie made Meenakshi Seshadri famous in Bollywood. Amrish Puri was the villain in this movie. hero-wallpaper

Jackie (Jackie Shroff) a goon kidnaps Radha (Meenakshi Seshadri) for his boss Pasha (Amrish Puri) who is in prison. But later he realises and surrenders in police station for Radha who fallen in love with him. Later he comes out and joins in a garage. Pasha kidnaps Radha and her father Shrikanth ( Shammi Kapoor) and her brother ( Sanjeev Kumar) after releasing from jail. But Jackie rescues his life and protects Radha and her family members.


It was biggest hit in that year. Lakshmikant-Pyarelaal gave very good music for this movie. Shakti Kapoor appeared in another key role for this movie.

Ramesh Sippy created history in Indian cinema when he made Sholay.  With unforgettable characters, dialogues that packed a punch and with an array of emotions, one could hardly go wrong.

Set in arid Ramanagaram, it immortalised Gabbar Singh, Thakur Baldev Singh, Veeru, Radha, Basanti and Jai.

Amjad Khan as Gabbar Singh. The character was based on a real life dacoit who was a meance in Gwalior. Danny Denzongpa was the first choice for Gabbar Singh.

Released on August 15th 1975, Sholay went on to be voted the Film of the Millenium by BBC India.

The movie was supposed to have been ‘inspired’ by an earlier release Bindiya Aur Bandook. It was written by Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar and produced by G.P.Sippy.

Jai and Veeru are two thieves and best buds whose path crosses with a police officer Thakur Baldev Singh. They are later hired by Singh to get rid of the dacoit Gabbar Singh. When they are not wreaking havoc in Gabbar’s life, Jai falls in love with Singh’s widowed daughter-in-law Radha and Veeru falls in love with Basanti, who drives a horse cart.

The music was composed by R.D Burman and Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey singing Yeh Dosti.
