Shakti was a Hindi film from Sholay team. Sholay director Ramesh Sippy, and writers Javed Aktar and Salim Khan worked for this movie. Amitabh Bachchan played the lead role. His character moves with a negative shade.

Ashiwini Kumar (Dilip Kumar) is a strict police officer. J.K. Verma kidnaps his son young Vijay. Verma demands the release of one of his followers. But Ashwini Kumar ignores this proposal. Vijay manages to escape from Verma. Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) never forgets his father act. He feels his father does not love him and leaves home.

Vijay and his wife Roma (Smita Patil) join as assistants to K.D.Narang (Kulbhushan Kundra). He is also a mafia don working under Verma. Narang forces Vijay to join as a bodyguard for Verma.

This is entirely a different movie. Amitabh Bachchan really was great to act in this type of negative characters.
